Training

Prairie Wing Kennel is available to train your pointing or flushing breed for hunting and/or competition. The first step in training is an evaluation of your dog's current level of training and desire to find birds. This evaluation enables the trainer and owner together to set realistic goals

for the dog.

I offer training in the following areas: basic obedience, puppy development, electronic collar training, steadiness to flush/whoa breaking, retrieving (including force-to-retrieve program), backing (honoring another dog's point) - everything required for a "fully broke" bird dog.

You can rest assured that when your dog stays in my kennel that he or she will be safe and secure. Your dog will stay in its own kennel consisting of a 4' x 10' chain link outside run and fully insulated dog house in a 4' x 10' chain link indoor area. Heating pads and heated water bowls are used during the cold weather months. All food and water bowls and kennels are routinely cleaned and disinfected. Boarding (for hunting breeds only) is available depending on vacancy.
